Job Description:

As a Tax Analyst, you will be a vital part of the corporate accounting function, contributing to a range of tax-related responsibilities that support both compliance and strategic initiatives. This role focuses on U.S. federal and state tax compliance for multiple entities, including LLCs and corporations. Key responsibilities include supporting income, sales and use, property, and payroll tax compliance. The Tax Analyst will work closely with internal departments, third-party advisors, and tax authorities to ensure accurate and timely reporting. You’ll also help analyze the impact of evolving tax laws and maintain tax exemption documentation while serving as a resource for finance and billing teams on tax-related questions.

Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting with preparation and review of federal and state income tax filings and estimated payments
• Coordinating with third-party software providers for sales and use tax reporting and filings
• Managing and maintaining sales tax exemption certificates
• Supporting property tax and payroll tax compliance and filings
• Responding to tax authority inquiries and notices
• Researching tax law changes and implications
• Overseeing annual business registrations and supporting other required tax filings
• Performing ad hoc tax analysis to support business needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in public accounting or corporate tax
• CPA designation strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Avalara or other tax compliance software is a plus
• Experience supporting organizations with multiple business units or locations is preferred
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
• Effective communicator with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly
• Team-oriented, professional, and service-minded with a commitment to meeting deadlines
• Curious and motivated to learn, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
