Job Description:
The Electrical Project Manager will oversee complex electrical construction projects from planning through completion, with responsibility for financial performance, scheduling, procurement, field coordination, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage electrical construction projects from preconstruction through testing, commissioning, and closeout
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and execution plans
• Manage contracts, billing, cost controls, change orders, and overall project financial performance
• Coordinate electrical equipment and material procurement, including long-lead items
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
• Partner with field leadership on manpower, installation sequencing, productivity, and scheduling
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and other trades
• Identify project risks and implement strategies to minimize cost and schedule impacts
• Monitor quality, safety, and subcontractor performance
• Lead project meetings and provide clear communication regarding progress, risks, and priorities
• Support electrical testing, startup, commissioning, and project closeout
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred
• 3-8 years of construction experience, including 3+ years in project management
• Experience managing electrical construction projects
• Knowledge of electrical construction methods, systems, sequencing, and project delivery
• Experience with project budgets, schedules, forecasting, billing, procurement, contracts, and change management
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Strong financial, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively coordinate with field teams, clients, contractors, engineers, vendors, and other trades
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel or work on-site based on project requirements
