Job Description:

– Case Management: Assist attorneys with the administration of probate cases, including managing deadlines, filing documents, and tracking case progress.

– Document Preparation: Draft, review, and file various probate-related documents, such as petitions, inventories, accountings, and notices.

– Client Interaction: Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and other parties to gather necessary information, provide updates, and ensure all inquiries are handled promptly and professionally.

– Court Filings: Prepare and file probate documents with the appropriate court, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

– Research: Conduct legal research related to probate law and estate administration as needed.

– Estate Administration: Assist in the administration of estates, including marshaling assets, preparing inventories, and managing estate distributions.

– Correspondence: Draft correspondence to clients, courts, and opposing counsel.

– Record Keeping: Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and all information is up-to-date.

– Support Attorneys: Provide general support to attorneys in probate cases, including scheduling appointments, preparing for hearings, and managing case-related tasks.


– Education: Paralegal certificate or equivalent education. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

– Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in probate law or estate administration.


– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

– High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

– Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

– Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Familiarity with and case management systems.

– Knowledge of local, state, and federal probate laws and regulations.
