Job Description:

This role requires extensive knowledge of probate law, estate planning, and related legal areas. The attorney will work closely with executors, beneficiaries, and family members to ensure a smooth and legally compliant probate process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Estate Administration:

– Advise clients on the probate process and legal requirements.

– Prepare and file probate documents with the court.

– Represent clients in probate court proceedings.

– Manage the collection and distribution of estate assets.

– Resolve any disputes or claims against the estate.

2. Estate Planning:

– Draft wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.

– Provide advice on minimizing estate taxes and legal risks.

– Update and revise estate plans as needed.

3. Client Consultation:

– Meet with clients to discuss their needs and goals.

– Explain legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner.

– Offer compassionate support to clients dealing with the loss of a loved one.

4. Legal Research and Compliance:

– Stay current with changes in probate and estate laws.

– Conduct legal research to support client cases.

– Ensure all legal procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.

5. Dispute Resolution:

– Mediate conflicts among beneficiaries and heirs.

– Litigate contested wills and probate issues.

– Negotiate settlements to resolve probate disputes.


– Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

– Active Missouri bar membership and good standing.

– 5+ years experience in probate law, estate planning, and trust administration.

– Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

– High level of empathy and professionalism in dealing with clients.
