Job Description:
Our client is a publicly held organization seeking an experienced tax professional to manage the full lifecycle of accounting for income taxes on a global basis. This includes annual, quarterly, and forecasted tax rate computations, return-to-provision analysis, and balance sheet tax account reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead global tax accounting processes, including quarterly reviews of uncertain tax positions.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff and external service providers.
- Collaborate on acquisitions, ensuring tax accounting compliance and educating personnel on internal policies and procedures.
- Support tax planning initiatives by analyzing tax accounting implications of transactions.
- Conduct on-site reviews of non-US subsidiaries’ tax accounts.
- Provide tax-related guidance to global finance teams, including training in ASC 740 and internal control procedures.
- Oversee and maintain internal controls documentation related to global tax accounts.
- Assist in preparing federal income tax returns and support management with ad hoc tax analyses.
- Engage in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
· Advanced degree in Accounting and/or CPA designation preferred.
· 4+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or large corporate tax experience.
· Prior knowledge of ASC 740
