Job Description:
As a Legal Assistant, you will support the legal department by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining legal documents and records. You will work closely with legal staff to ensure accurate and timely filings while safeguarding the organization’s interests. Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing and maintaining UCC, PPSA, and PPSR lien filings to ensure proper perfection and priority.
• Entering and updating data in the lease management software system.
• Editing, reviewing, and maintaining detailed Excel spreadsheets.
• Creating and organizing both digital and physical filing systems.
• Communicating with internal teams and external parties with clarity and precision.
• Assisting with file room management and other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Previous experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment.
