Job Description:

The Collections Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily collections process, managing a team of collectors, and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding receivables. This role focuses on driving efficiency, resolving escalations, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee day-to-day business-to-business collection activities
• Supervise, mentor, and support a team of collections professionals
• Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members
• Review delinquent accounts and determine appropriate collection strategies
• Analyze and resolve escalated customer inquiries and disputes in a timely and professional manner
• Monitor aging reports and track key performance metrics related to collections
• Prepare and analyze reports for leadership, providing insights and recommendations
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing or account discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures related to collections
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in collections or accounts receivable
• Experience in a business-to-business collections environment preferred

Skills & Abilities:
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to make sound decisions and manage escalated situations professionally
