Job Description:

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company’s financial accuracy and efficiency. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Processing and verifying invoices for payment while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Managing the accounts payable workflow, including coding and matching invoices, and obtaining necessary approvals.
• Preparing and processing weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments.
• Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintaining accurate and organized accounts payable records, including digital and physical files.
• Assisting with month-end close processes by preparing journal entries and reconciliations related to accounts payable.
• Communicating with vendors and internal teams to resolve inquiries and ensure timely payment.
• Supporting audit preparation by providing requested documentation and analysis.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
• 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.

 Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills for vendor interactions and internal team collaboration.
