Job Description:

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of accounting professionals and managing accounting functions related to leasing transactions, journal entries, and reconciliations. This role ensures the accurate and timely completion of daily and monthly processes, supports various management reports, and handles special projects as needed. The Accounting Supervisor will also play a key role in training and mentoring direct reports to promote continuous development within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership:
o Train, mentor, and manage the performance of direct reports to foster growth and ensure accountability within the team.

• Transaction Review:
o Conduct a detailed review of lease and sale transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Process Management:
o Oversee the completion of daily and monthly accounting processes, adhering to established guidelines.

• Notes Payable Management:
o Manage the Notes Payable System, including payment setups, bank payments, and paydowns.

• Reporting and Projects:
o Generate management reports and handle special accounting projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent relevant experience.
o 2-5 years of professional accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP.

• Skills:
o Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
o Proficiency in Excel and other spreadsheet applications.
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Supervisory Experience:
o 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role, with demonstrated success in team management.

• Work Style:
o Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
