Job Description:

The Compensation Benefits Specialist is responsible to oversee, manage, and administer the employees’ rewards and benefits. You will assess personnel needs and draft targeted programs designed increase performance, organizational trust, and job satisfaction. This role serves as the backup payroll processor and would ensure the integrity of the data. It would also entail the ability to create a variety of reports, to lead system implementations/upgrades, and the ability to be engaged in the strategic vision for the system and company. Your role will be extremely important as the goal is to attract, retain, and motivate high quality employees by reducing turnover and enhancing the company’s profile as a best place to work.


  • Support the development and integration of new and/or existing rewards programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that programs are market competitive, internally equitable, and cost effective
  • Research and provide in-depth understanding of external best practices and innovative trends to apply to Total Rewards programs and technologies
  • Research and compare incentive compensation plans offered by demographically comparable organizations; assess competitors’ plans and make recommendations for enhancements or improvements required to keep the organization’s plans competitive and effective
  • Prepare job descriptions, job analysis, job evaluations and job classifications
  • Participate in salary and labor market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits Prepare compensation analysis of position via Pay Factor platform
  • Creation of annual compensation and merit events within ADP platform
  • Maintenance of identified positions for succession planning within the ADP platform
  • Administer employee insurance programs including life, disability, and health, dental and vision insurance plans
  • Administer the company’s 401(k) plan
  • Advise and inform employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions; monitor administrators’ and insurance carriers’ reports to ensure the organization’s compliance with plan requirements
  • Ensure the organizations and plans’ compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
  • Partner closely with the Payroll & Benefits Specialist to coordinate full-cycle payroll activities for our family of companies that are accurate, on time, and in compliance with Company policies, internal controls, and procedures; and state and federal regulations.
  • Establish and maintain business practices which ensure the data quality, accuracy, and completeness of the HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), including data extracts, feeds, interfaces, and security compliance by monitoring system access and permissions
  • Responsible for ensuring data required for ACA (Affordable Care Act) compliance is complete and accurate
  • Partner with the Payroll & Benefits Specialist for creating, maintaining, running, and sending out AD-Hoc reports



·         Bachelor’s degree in finance, human resources, business administration or similar relevant field preferred.

·         Minimum of five years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility processing payroll, managing HRIS systems, and administering employee benefit plans.

·         ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.

·         Hands on experience with various HR software platforms (HRIS, payroll, ATS, Comp & Benefits).

·         Ability to thrive as a self-starter in a fast-paced, growing environment with minimal supervision.
