Job Description:
- Maintain the general ledger
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile account balances and bank statements
- Generate accounting reports and ensure accuracy
- Assist with financial report analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Identify areas for cost efficiencies to maximize profit
- Lead and develop staff in the accounting department
- Review the work of the accounting staff
- Collaborate with executive leadership team on process improvement recommendations
- Assist external auditors with financial statement audit process
- Oversee all invoices that need to be paid and incoming receivables
- Responsible for processing payroll
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns and prepare sales and use tax
Qualifications
- 6-10+ years’ experience in progressive accounting roles required
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required
- Previous managerial experience required
- Manufacturing accounting experience required
- CPA preferred
- Public accounting experience preferred
