Job Description
- Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the M&A Accounting Manager is responsible for operating as the interim controller over financial operations of newly acquired organizations within the Associated Couriers family of companies
- Maintains all general ledgers of acquired companies including opening balance sheet, working capital adjustments, earn-out requirements and monthly/annual financial reporting
- Manages and directs all annual audit procedures of the acquired company
- Integrates general ledger and accounting processes with existing AC processes in conjunction with the accounting team and Integrations team
- Manages local cash planning and forecasting of acquired companies in conjunction with AC cash planning cycles
- Generates and manages annual budgeting process and reforecasting process of acquired companies
- May be required to travel to the acquired company locally (25% travel or less)
- Assisting with CFO and Controller with corporate financial reporting, analytical projects, PE reporting and other ad-hoc finance and accounting related needs
- Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in accounting or Finance
- 2-5 yrs experience in Big 4/Large Firm Public Accounting or progressive industry experience
- CPA and/or Advanced Degree strongly preferred
- Strong systems capabilities with ability to come up to speed quickly
