Job Description:
- Forecast yearly revenue, attend quarterly budget sessions, and aid in the fiscal budgeting
- Conduct regular financial operations, manage a group in charge of billings and collections, payables, payroll, and month-end reconciliations
- Manage grant-related billing, regular and special reporting analysis, tracking, and oversight of grants and budgets
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports following GAAP guidelines
- Take on new financial initiatives such as diverse funder models, cascading claims and more
- Carry out detailed examination of different balance sheet and profit & loss accounts
- Support with the audit process at the end of the fiscal year
- Address vendor inquiries, external client and internal customer needs
- Sustain fixed asset and prepaid schedules
- Keep policies and procedures up-to-date
- Propose and execute enhancements to the existing accounting systems and procedures.
- Formulate internal regulations and protocols for accounting transactions
- Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the finance leadership
- Work in conjunction with the executive team, board members, and program service staff to provide high-level financial data to support the organization’s mission
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 5+ years of experience in progressive accounting roles required
- CPA or other advanced designation preferred
- Not-for-profit experience is preferred
- Must work well in a fast paced environment
