The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, which include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.
Oversee the annual budgeting process and the preparation and distribution of the monthly reports on budgets Identify opportunities to improve financial and operational systems and cost effectiveness Manage the annual audit process Conduct financial analysis and calculate operating metrics
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting
7+ years of accounting experience Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Provide corporate officers, managers, etc. with accurate & timely financial & related information required to effectively manage the Company.
Responsible for all finance functions of the Company and its divisions, subsidiaries, and affiliates, including recommending & implementing financial information reporting systems, cash flows, earnings, assets, liabilities, stockholders equity & other financial results.
Finance functions include payroll, general accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, fixed asset accounting, business tax accounting, customer credit, accounts receivable, accounts payable & internal auditing, etc.
Formulate & administer approved accounting practices throughout the Company to ensure that financial operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business & provide reliable information necessary to control operations.
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Finance SUPERVISES: All Finance personnel
*Recommend, implement, & monitor compliance with all accounting & payroll policies.
*Responsible for maximizing the efficiency of all Finance personnel by providing them with training, motivation, and direction, including specific goals and objective productivity targets.
*Responsible for the preparation of all accounting ledgers, plant & corporate reports, and other financial reports
*Responsible for the correct & accurate accounting classification of all expenditures, including capital & others.
*Responsible for reviewing inventory control & reporting procedures to ensure that inventory records & manufacturing costs are accurate.
*Responsible for the timely preparation of departmental reports.
*Responsible for contact with the Company’s independent auditors & with all taxing authority auditors.
*Conduct special accounting studies, analyses, and cost studies, and provide statistics & comments to assist in the interpretation of operating results and provide specific recommendations which will result in cost reductions and profit improvements.
*BS or BA degree – Accounting Specialization.
*CPA, CMA or MBA a plus.
*Experience with increasing responsibility in the accounting field. Experience to include: 3+ years Cost Accounting experience or direct supervision of Cost Accounting Department and 6+ years of management of general accounting functions.
*Experience or proficiency in EnterpriseOne information systems and PC’s.
