Job Description
- Establish Adept understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information and support budget and forecasting activities.
- Lead a team of 4, provide training, and advise regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
- Respond to inquiries from the CFO and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
- Work with the CFO to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.
- Work with the general ledger and cost team to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met. While developing more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Manage job cost function regarding WIP schedules and meetings with Project Managers
- Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
- Work with Material and Logistics Manager on inventory management and reporting needs.
Qualifications:
5-6 yrs+ Accounting/Finance experience. Construction industry experience required.
Controllership & leading a small team. Strong grasp of GAAP principles. Strong understanding of Cost/WIP.
MBA or CPA preferred but Bachelor’s Accounting/Finance with strong construction industry experience acceptable
