The Billing Supervisor oversees all aspects related to the billing process for the Firm.
This includes daily review of complex billing, best practice procedures, quality control and workflow within the department. This position will also be responsible for mentoring the billing staff, and working to develop procedures to expedite all bills processed by the billing team.

Leads billing team by delegating tasks, monitoring task completion, and managing team performance including annual evaluations
Manages the billing process including all billing deadlines; provides billing listings for posting to the Deadline Board
Effectively researches and partners with attorneys, staff, firm clients, and firm management as the team brings forward billing/WIP/client issues
Reviews and analyzes complex client billings including AFAs prepared by the team
Ensures accounting database reflects accurate billing information as stated in engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, and partner instructions in order to meet our clients expectations
Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for process improvements
Executes complex bills in a timely manner (i.e., multiple discounts by matter, split-party billing, gathering all billing information and creating/distributing final invoices)
Provides training, resolution support and guidance to billing team regarding all aspects of the billing process Monitors KPIs to track progress

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree
Required Licenses and/or Certifications: N/A
Required Experience: 5 years of experience in a legal and/or office environment; proficiency in MS-Office suite Preferred
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on billing experience in a law firm; Aderant experience
