Job Description:

The Benefits Manager is responsible for leading and executing the day-to-day operations of the company benefit and leave of absence programs. Works with the Benefits Director to manage compensation programs.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • HR/Benefits certification desirable (CBP/PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP).
  • 5-15 years of benefits experience, 3-5 years of managerial experience.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, complex, and constantly changing environment.  
  • A strong balance of people and technical skills, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead cross-functionally and communicate appropriately with diverse stakeholder groups.  
  • Confidence in presenting to groups in a virtual environment. 
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and best practices, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA, Section 125, and DOL.  
  • Project and team management/leadership skills and experience.  
  • Effective in planning, organization, and priority setting.   
  • Experience benchmarking benefits design across industries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Compensation experience desirable.
