Job Description:
- Oversee the month-end financial reporting process
- Analyze financial data and compile reports for month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Prepare account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and create journal entries
- Execute the monthly expense allocation process
- Assist the VP of Finance in developing the annual budget and financial forecasts
- Manage the general ledger, fixed assets, and tax accounts
- Coordinate annual audits with external auditors, including financial and insurance audits
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local jurisdictions regarding tax filings, including property tax declarations and business licenses
- Process executive division payroll
- Supervise the banking process, including monitoring cash balances, positive pay, and employee account management
- Direct and coordinate the activities of the Franchise Accountant and Corporate Accountant
- Provide guidance, support, and informal performance reviews to direct reports
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency and reduce costs in the system
- Undertake special projects, ad hoc reports, and perform analysis on various initiatives as required
- Collaborate with IT to streamline and automate processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 4+ years of experience in supervisory accounting roles required
- CPA or other advanced designation is preferred
- Current or previous public accounting experience is preferred
