Supervisor Corporate Reporting

The Supervisor, Corporate Financial Reporting manages a team that is responsible for preparing and reviewing SEC filings for the company and its two registrant subsidiaries, as well as filings with other regulatory bodies, internal reporting, and presentations. In addition to providing oversight to the Corporate Financial Reporting team, the Supervisor position plays a key role in technical accounting research, leading cross-functional projects, and interfacing with senior leadership. This position helps lead a collaborative, team-based approach to meeting all of the Company's reporting requirements. This position works under the direction of the Manager, Corporate Financial Reporting and has frequent interaction with the Controller, Chief Accounting Officer, and other Corporate and subsidiary leadership throughout the Company.
Key responsibilities include:
: Manage department staff, including oversight of development, performance management, etc.
: Prepare and review external regulatory filings with the SEC, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and State Public Service Commissions, including XBRL tagging for SEC filings using Workiva (Webfilings) software
: Prepare and review internal financial reports and executive-level and board of directors' presentations
: Review, analyze, and interpret accounting, financial, and statistical data
: Collaborate with the Accounting Research and Policy team to proactively research, report, and propose Company policy on financial and reporting matters, including monitoring the activities of financial and regulatory reporting and accounting standard setting agencies
: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, procedures, and controls
: Participate in industry task forces to influence, interpret, and implement accounting standards
: Perform other ad hoc financial projects, as necessary
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required, preferably in Accounting.
Five or more years of accounting or other professional level relevant experience required.
CPA certification required. Advanced Degree and reporting experience (e.G., SEC or FERC) preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
