Assisting Controller with month-end closing procedures, preparing journal entries, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
Performing expense analyses and presenting findings to Controller.
Assists with ad-hoc reports for various departments.
Assists AR department with billing inquiries and customer account reconciliations by producing copies of invoices or statements, recreating prior history of the account, resolving issues such as sales tax adjustments and unapplied or partially applied payments.
Performs job/lien analysis as requested.
Completes vendor credit application requests and sets up new vendor accounts as required.
Assists AR department in collection matters and quarterly cleanup/maintenance.
Follows up on daily/weekly Accounts Receivable inquiries to delinquent customers as necessary.
Prepares all Closing Journal entries for the month.
Prepares monthly bank reconciliations on all the operating and disbursement accounts.
Assists Controller in month end reporting package and budgets.
Prepares monthly sales tax returns and initiates weekly/monthly/quarterly sales tax estimates.
Prepares all balance sheet reconciliations, and income statement reconciliations as needed.
Assists Controller with weekly checkruns.
Reviews the balance sheet and income statement for accuracy and prepares adjusting journal entries if needed.
Assists Controller in researching month end income statement variances. Prepares reports and adjusting journal entries if needed.
Assists in the monthly/yearly budget process.
Assists Controller with annual reporting and annual closing entries.
Prepares work papers for the fiscal year-end review with outside CPA firm.
Other projects as determined by management
Assist Controller with obtaining/renewing licenses/permits/lease agreements.
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
1+ Years of Financial Accounting experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience with Financial Statement preparation, AR/AP and billing functions a plus.
Detail oriented with an analytical mind.
Ability to work independently.
