Senior Manager / Director of Accounting
Position Overview

Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Manager / Director of Accounting is responsible for overseeing the evolve24' s accounting function, including GL management, month-end close, A/P, A/R, and financial statements preparation in accordance with US GAAP. This person will also be responsible for managing the company' s annual financial statement audit and will work closely with the outside tax advisors who prepare the company' s annual income tax returns. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to succeed in this role. Qualified candidates will have strong leadership skills, experience managing a month-end close process, working with auditors, drafting accounting memos, establishing controls and procedures, and managing others.

Role and Responsibilities

: Build and manage a team of accountants working towards monthly, quarterly and annual corporate close

: Coordinate close activities, ensuring compliance to agreed close calendar task timeframes

: Provide strong, hands on leadership, mentoring, coaching and development to direct reports as required

: Review GL account reconciliations and financial statements for accuracy in accordance with US GAAP and in accordance with Federal Acquisition Rules (FAR)

: Assist with monthly analytics for month end review by management

: Conduct and lead a monthly close meeting with the CFO to discuss accounting issues, areas of concern and any potential improvements to the close process

: Assist in maintenance of documentation of policies, procedures and controls

: Prepare our monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements

: Lead the external auditor' s financial reviews and annual financial audit

: Prepare incurred cost submissions as required for federal contracts and assist in the development of corporate policies to ensure compliance with FAR

: Review Interco transactions among consolidated entities

Experience, Qualifications, and Education

: A minimum of a Master' s degree in Accounting

: Professional certification such as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) required

: Experience working with corporate-wide accounting or ERP systems required

: Audit experience highly preferred

: Familiarity with FAR accounting highly preferred
