Job Description:

Summary:

The Controller is a business partner with the Sales Unit management who will help enhance profitability and control of current business, and drive the strategy of the business toward long-term sustainable and profitable growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators


  • Drive, support and coordinate planning/forecast processes including preparation of the management packages


  • Deploy and provide a framework of planning tools in the unit including strategic planning (3-5) years, planning (1year) and forecasting quarterly


  • Support functional decision-making process and translate defined strategies into financial planning. Plays a significant role in strategy development in collaboration with the members of the Sales Unit management team


  • Responsible together with the Operations Manager for Internal Control Systems (SICS) and ensuring there are no deficiencies in all applicable controls


  • Actively analyze results and trends to drive continuous improvement


  • Give service, function and financial warnings, plan an active part in the management team and provide support to management


  • Give guidelines to managers, ensure and follow up instructions and share information of latest changes in the Sales Unit that has financial implications


  • Liaison and coordinate with financial and relevant function personnel in related organization to improve the finance processes and information quality.


  • Operate effectively with the USA Finance channels and Business Area Controlling


  • Support sales and customer communication regarding financial issues


  • Manager A/R team members and the credit and collections effort for the Sales Unit





Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor degree in Accounting or similar degree is required


  • MBA or CPA/CMP preferred but not required


  • Minimum of 5-10+ years' experience in manufacturing accounting and business or financial analysis/controlling preferred


  • Ideally experience at the Controller level


  • Good knowledge of common financial systems standards and policies including Sales Data Warehouse


  • Strategic thinker with leadership skills, good problem solving ability, and strong planning, organizational and analytical skills


  • Excellent PC skills specifically with Microsoft Office


  • Proficient with ERP systems and data base tools for extracting and analyzing data


  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate across all levels, internally and externally



  • Self-starter and good team player.
