The Human Resources Department of a growing accounting firm located in St. Louis, MO is seeking a professional, organized, energetic and detail-oriented recruiter.

The individual selected for this position must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously in a rapidly changing environment. This position requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner. In addition, they must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department. This role works closely with the HR Director to support the Firm's university and experienced recruitment and staffing efforts.

Specific duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Conducts full-cycle recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel
Manage talent applicant inbox on a daily basis

Coordinate and lead the college recruiting program to ensure high quality entry-level professionals are hired annually; oversee all activities of the recruiting team; develop and maintain relationships with university placement professionals including faculty

Coordinate and lead our annual Faculty Office Visit and Campus Ambassador programs
Attend campus recruiting events such as career fairs, student organization meetings, campus interviews, networking events, mock interviews, resume review sessions, etc.

Oversee and monitor the applicant tracking system (Paycom), track, circulate and file resumes and applications coming into the firm.

Correspond with applicants regarding the status of their resumes.

Maintain accurate and organized documentation on all candidates and candidate interactions

Responsible for understanding and communicating overall firm and individual office culture, working with departments to identify entry-level and intern hiring needs and attracting candidates to fill these needs across the firm from targeted universities

Coordinate and lead firm-wide internship programs and employee on-boarding processes
Screen candidates through personal interaction, resume review, phone and office interviews and reference checks

Coordinate the recruiting and selection process for the company to ensure qualified individuals are hired in a timely manner; receive and process all applications for open positions; conduct screening interviews for all positions; coordinate scheduling of all interviews and maintain point of contact with all candidates and hiring managers throughout the selection process

Promote and oversee our experienced recruiting efforts including our Employee Referral program

Partner with hiring managers to determine on-going staffing needs on a quarterly basis

Make hiring recommendations to HR Director and Firm hiring managers

Assist Partners and Staff with recruiting and staffing requests from existing clients

Maintain excellent relationships with candidates, internal hiring teams, external sourcing contacts and other office personnel involved in the recruiting process

Compose and maintain strong online presence for Careers including, but not limited to, Twitter, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Instagram, blogs and online job boards

Actively source prospective candidates using online tools and existing pipeline of prospect candidates

Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems

Assists with daily operation of the human resources group, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Back up other HR team members as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelors in Human Resources, Business or Related Field

  • 3-4 years of relevant Human Resources experience preferably in full-cycle recruiting

  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred

  • AIRS Certification a plus

  • Advanced computer proficiency with MS Office Suite

  • Experience in screening, sourcing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding

  • Proficient in talent management products and tools (social media, job platforms, ATS, etc.)

  • Professional demeanor and appearance

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment

  • Articulate, outgoing and engaging people skills

  • Able to travel on an infrequent basis

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to interface with all levels inside and outside the Firm

  • Ability to shift from one HR function to another while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines

  • High level of organization skills with a strong attention to detail

  • Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality regarding sensitive issues

  • Capable to work independently, be flexible and demonstrate high degree of approachability and follow-through while maintaining a positive outlook
