Project Manager, Continuous Improvement

This position provides the unique opportunity to become a part of a dynamic, maturing Continuous Improvement team; focused on developing standards, governance and awareness for Project Management, Lean Management and Change Management techniques on an Enterprise-wide level.



The selected individual will be responsible for managing a wide array of cross-functional projects with varying risks, constraints and/or challenges and will be empowered to focus on value creation.

Duties and Responsibilities

: Analyze problems, identify issues, summarize findings and recommend courses of action

: Utilize PMBOK best practices to apply various principles and methodologies such as Agile/Lean, DMAIC, etc.

: Develop positive working relationships with stakeholders and project teams to drive change in a positive manner by managing constraints such as time lines, scope, cost and resources

: Lead project teams to develop and implement programs and/or process improvements.
 
: Ensure projects meet specified time lines and deliverables with a strong focus on value-creation

: Effectively communicate with Stakeholders; provide early and clear escalation of risks, respond to changes in work or direction, demonstrate flexibility in approach

: Develop program status update materials for key stakeholders and internal audit review of program budget and schedule

: Manage wide range of projects with varying time lines, cross functionality, requirements and scope

: All other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities
: No

Required Education: (may include certifications, licenses and registrations)

: Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in an analytical field (ie. Engineering, Science, Business) preferred

: Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred

: Other accreditations, such as PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP, Six Sigma, CCMP, etc. Are valued



Required knowledge, skill and abilities:

: 6 years of related project experience is preferred

: Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels in the organization

: Prior experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects is preferred

: Three or more years of experience in facilitating and leading Lean Continuous Improvement efforts is valued

: Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required

: Prior experience in the Energy or Utility industry is preferred



Physical demands, work environment and work schedule:

: Work is normally performed in a shared, open-office environment
 
: Requires some work during nonstandard business hours

: Some travel required
