Manager, Global Compensation

Essential Functions/Basic Duties:

  • Leads the global annual salary administration/merit budget/variable compensation pay planning process; develops and recommends appropriate administrative procedures and communication tools to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

  • Year End process support:
    Support the overall planning and execution of the annual global compensation cycle
    Work with the HR Business Partners to ensure full support and information is in place for the business lines

  • Audit and clarify data and reporting structures in time for year end

  • Provide senior management with extensive modeling to allocate pools in line with business results

  • Meet with senior management to review and analyze recommendations for each business line

  • Under general guidance, act as the subject matter expert (SME) on compensation matters

  • Ensures compensation administration is compliant with internal policies, external regulations and is cost effective to administer; Ensures the confidentiality of all compensation related data and implements processes and techniques to ensure data is adequately protected

  • Actively and consistently supports all internal customers by providing timely and accurate data and excellent customer service

  • Conducts and reviews job evaluations to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance; makes recommendations regarding salary grades or market rates for specific jobs

  • Evaluates and analyzes salary data - both internal and external market data

  • Monitors competitive trends in compensation; identify the company's position and make recommendations for changes to compensation, rewards and recognition programs

  • Assists in the implementation of compensation policies and programs that support the business strategy and that enables it to attract, retain and motivate talented employees

  • Initiates and administers various analysis projects and the design of new or special compensation programs to address particular market and business needs or as directed by management.

  • Participates in approved salary surveys through the collection and reporting of data to third-party survey providers. Reviews salary survey results and provides recommendations on additions/deletions of benchmark jobs in use.

  • Conducts extensive ad-hoc analysis as needed

  • Counsels managers on individual salary treatment for promotions, transfers, etc.

  • Leads compensation related projects as required

    Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor' s degree* in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or other related discipline; Master's degree (MBA) preferred

  • Minimum 6 years Compensation experience preferably as a Manager of a compensation function

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency

  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills which provide the ability to:
    establish and build working relationships with individuals throughout the organization in support of corporate and HR department objectives;

  • Work closely with people at all levels of the organization;
