Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the general accounting function, including intercompany accounting, cash management/reconciliation, financial reporting and balance sheet management.

  • Supervise the monthly and quarterly consolidation of division results and reporting to the corporate office for SEC requirements.

  • Responsible for coordinating international financial statements in multiple currencies and translating into US dollars.

  • Provide technical U.S. GAAP accounting guidance for entire division.

  • Responsible for ensuring internal controls are adequate around the Reporting Cycle, G/L maintenance, JE control, Account Reconciliation, User Privileges, Period-Open/Close and Risk Management Assessment.

  • Manage and supervise accounting for fixed assets, making certain assets are classified properly, depreciated correctly, and maintained and verified timely.

  • Manage and supervise accounts payable to ensure prompt payment of invoices, while maintaining a DPO consistent with Olin's cash flow goals.

  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with internal financial policies and U.S.GAAP.

  • Track, prepare and update account reconciliations, analyzing general ledger accounts, as well as review and approve certain items prepared by other team members.

  • Co-ordinate and support internal, external, and SOX audits, while participating in the audit reviews to ensure no material audit adjustments or material internal control weaknesses are noted.

  • Prepare, with assistance, the domestic and foreign tax packages, and various yearly government required surveys and reporting

  • Prepare, with assistance, the yearly accounting work papers to support the 10K.

  • Responsible for managing and supervising the accounting for world-wide licensing program: Co-ordinate the monthly forecasting and yearly budgeting of various spending areas and cash flows.

  • Manage and supervise the calculation and payment FAET and the required reporting

  • Supervise the calculation of Sales & Use tax.

  • Monitor and evaluate monthly spending and cash flows in order to meet overall company goals.


Experience Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA Strongly Preferred

  • Management experience required
