Job Summary - Financial Analyst
This position reports to the Corporate Controller. This full-time position is responsible for all Accounting-centric Payroll functions for the entire company with predominant emphasis on supplemental variable compensation such as commissions, over-rides, bonuses, weighted overtime and recoverable wages. Perform ERP journal entries, monthly reconciliations, various accounting-related activities and develop/maintain reports translating data into information for the use of management. The duties for Financial Analyst include, but are not limited to, those enumerated below.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
: Prepare and analyze variable compensation on semi-monthly basis.

: Upload payroll runs into the General Ledger - prepare and process journal entries.

: Interact with and respond to payroll inquiries and requests by Sales Personnel (Branch Manager, Loan Officers and support staff) and other internal and external users of payroll data.

: Prepare Exhibit A documents (employee offer addendum) and monitor timely execution.

: Perform various tasks related to month-end and year-end close processes.

: Responsible for timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

: Lead research of "ad hoc" accounting questions related to variable compensation-related matters and provide recommendation and solution on propriety of accounting.

: Assist with special reports and projects, as required.

: Identify, drive, implement and maintain process improvements of accounting processes for Payroll.



Education and Experience
: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

: 3+ years high volume in multi-state environment.

: Experience in Mortgage industry preferred.

: Knowledge of Paycom HRIS is a plus.

: Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ERP) Loan Vision is a plus.

: Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and use discretion with sensitive matters.

: Must have solid organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must accompanied by follow-through mindset.

: Ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks.

: Must have the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, duties, responsibilities and the management of time while adhering to deadlines/targets.

: Ability to research payroll issues and present findings in concise and accurate manner.

: Ability to consistently search for ways to improve and develop efficiencies and assist with implementation of approved enhancements.
