Financial Analyst - Private Equity
As a Financial Analyst, you will have a strong work ethic and assume broad responsibilities with specific focus on   the company's acquisitions strategy. You will possess considerable knowledge of financial modeling, underwriting processes and valuation methods combined with well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills.

This position will be an integral part of the entire transaction process from due diligence through acquisition and post-investment portfolio management and investor reporting and will support the CFO in presentations to investors and the investment committee. This position will work closely with the CFO and CEO and contribute to the successful day to day operations of the organization and its achievement of strategic goals.

  • Source, research and analyze prospective acquisition and investment opportunities

  • Develop and implement a framework to qualify new investment opportunities based on predefined criteria to avoid spending resources underwriting opportunities that do not meet company objectives

  • Perform investment due diligence to include detailed reviews of financial statements, underwriting, market research, pro-forma financial modeling and sensitivity analysis

  • Forecast investment returns and determine if investments meet company objectives
    Prepare detailed financial analysis and present concise conclusions and recommendations to CFO and our management team

  • Track progress of multiple and simultaneous acquisition opportunities, keeping all parties aware of status and ensuring key dates are met and timely transaction closing

  • Communicate with banks and coordinate financing structures

  • Perform ongoing review, analysis and monitoring of portfolio financial performance

  • Recognize investments that are under-performing expectations and identify root causes for diversion from initial underwriting assumptions

  • Recognize investments that are over performing expectations and make recommendations for maximizing investment returns via refinancing, strategic portfolio management, etc.

  • Maintain system of record for investor capital accounts and accurately track amount and timing of all capital commitments, calls, contributions and distributions

  • Develop and expand knowledge of the senior housing industry and asset class through continued education including relevant conferences, webinars and publications

  • Establish relationships within the senior housing industry to increase access and exposure to potential investment opportunities

  • Produce timely and relevant financial performance reporting for company management and investors

  • Assist in creating and maintaining dashboards of pertinent financial information and KPIs

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar field - MBA, CFA, CPA is preferred

  • Ability to perform with the highest level of integrity

  • Experience with cash flow modeling, investment valuation and investor return calculation techniques

  • Ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines and communicate in a clear, accurate, efficient and professional manner in written & verbal communications, as well as possess strong presentation skills

  • Passion to achieve results through self-motivation, initiative and proactive orientation with a sense of professional curiosity, desire to learn new things and to find / recommend solutions to problems

  • Experience working on client/investor deliverables

  • Superior analytical, project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and analyze large data sets

  • Possess advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; proficiency in other Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, etc.
