This is a financial leadership position within the business unit reporting to the corporate CFO of. The primary responsibility is financial leadership for the Manufacturing and Distribution businesses of the company. This position serves as a business partner for CRC' s VP' s of Operations and of Sales and actively participates in planning and analysis for the business; provide costing information to help improve customer profitability.
Responsible for all financial reporting for the business, including budgeting, forecasting and internal controls. Regularly assess operating results in terms of sales, costs, operating policies, trends and profit improvement opportunities. Work with all levels of the company to improve accuracy and usefulness of ERP systems and financial reports.
: Individual contributor role; no need to supervise staff.
: Month End Close - Work with manufacturing personnel in Ohio as well as local warehouse, customer service and other personnel to ensure that transactions are properly recorded (good inventory and Sales cutoff).
: Manage the monthly close process including approval of month end journal entries, prepare balance sheet reconciliations and fluctuation analysis, and complete closing checklist.
: Financial Reporting - responsible for full P&L and balance sheet, preparation of bridge for actual results to forecast, budget and prior year.
: Operations reporting and support - active member of the business management team responsible for preparing and monitoring KPI' s.
: Ensure accuracy of data across multiple financial and operational systems; utilize this data to develop reporting that aids in decision-making and earnings / cash-flow improvements (e.G., productivity, customer analytics, etc.).
: Financial Planning and Analysis - including preparation of monthly forecast updates and quarterly updates of sales forecasts.
: Manage the sales commission calculation, review and payout process.
: Monitor financial aspects of business IT systems & processes and continuously seek.
improvements in financial workflow and controls.
: Monitor and continuously improve compliance with internal controls.
: Meet corporate compliance requirements and all applicable deadlines.
: Travel to St. Louis MO, Columbus OH and Shanghai China.
Job Knowledge, Education & Skills
: Bachelor' s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
: Minimum of 3 years of Financial Accounting/ Operations finance experience.
: Excellent communications skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
: Experience with a Manufacturing company and/or a Logistics/Transportation company preferred.
: Strong analytical skills with FP&A or cost accounting experience preferred.
: Capacity to perform and manage the timely completion of multiple complex tasks concurrently.
: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required, with advanced Excel experience.
: CPA/CMA and/or MBA preferred.
