Assist in maintenance of accounting records for the corporate operations. Applies principles of US GAAP accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
: Prepares monthly reconciliation of accounts including appropriate supporting documentation.
: Daily accounting and monthly close procedures are completed timely and accurately.
: Effectively utilize financial reporting tools to improve the efficiency of the reconciliation, journal entry and close processes.
: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
: Collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state, and local government surveys.
: Communicates with corporate and branch personnel as it relates to accounting and finance questions and resolves issues.
: Provide necessary support for external auditors.
: Identifies, designs and implements accounting process improvements and efficiencies.
: Handles special projects as needed.
: Bachelor' s degree in accounting or finance.
: 2-5 years in accounting.
: Public accounting experience a plus.
: Team player with a positive attitude towards contributing and learning.
: Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
: Strong verbal/written communication skills.
: Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
: Self-starter, quick study and ability to multi-task on a regular basis.
: Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and deadline driven.
: Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
