POSITION SUMMARY: Qualified individual to assist in preparation of monthly financial information and related account analysis such as: monthly journal entries, preparation of monthly cost center reports and variance explanations, fixed asset related matters.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
: Participate in month-end financial statement close process by preparing various accrual and standard journal entries in an SAP environment
: Analyze overhead and SG&A accounts to ensure that all expenditures are properly accounted for in the general ledger according to budget parameters and accounting standards.
: Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts which may require investigation and research for proper maintenance of account balances
: Assist in preparation of cost center budgets and provide analytical reports to department owners related to their results
: Review and coding of corporate invoices
: Preparation of annual schedules for audit and tax
: Preparation of various government surveys
: Assist with fixed asset accounting and treasury functions surrounding capital expenditure bank loan.
: Maintain the books and write checks for small subsidiary company
: Prepare bi-weekly reports from Concur (expense reporting platform) for uploading expenses to the general ledger and for payroll to reimburse employees
: Various special projects as needed

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge: Requires Bachelor' s Degree in Accounting discipline. Requires advanced knowledge of Excel. Good analytical skills and ability to interact well in a team environment.
Experience: Requires a minimum of two years of progressive experience in pertinent accounting function, including budget analysis. Education can be offset by demonstrated successful experience.
Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids: Basic Computer Skills, Excel, Outlook, Word, calculator, and other standard office equipment. SAP experience a plus.
License(s)/Certification(s) Required: CPA a plus
