Assistant Plan Controller

Position Purpose: Assist with the management of the financial affairs for all health plans.
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial analyses of operations for guidance of management
Assist with the preparation of reports which outline the company's financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present and future earnings. Assist with the preparation of statutory reports
Assist with the monitoring of business processes and systems to assure integrity in health plan financial reports and information and in systems of internal accounting control in compliance with GAAP and/or SSAP and Company policies and standards
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
Assist in the arrangement of audits of the health plan's accounts
Provide financial and business analysis as required
Convey health plan needs to the appropriate parties for coordinated action. Help develop, implement and monitor program results
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Master's degree preferred. 4+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in public accounting or healthcare industry.
License/Certification: CPA preferred.
